Minister for Planning signs off on Charter Hall’s multistorey warehouse project in Alexandria

Charter Hall is replacing the former hardware and building supplies building at 520 Gardeners Road in Alexandria with a 3-storey warehouse development.

.Set on 1.89 hectares and on a corner allotment fronting both Gardeners Road and Bourke Road, the warehouse and distribution centre will sit 24m in the air with a maximum gross floor area of 27,509sqm, comprising 20,143sqm of warehouse space and 5,558sqm of ancillary office space.

Industrial uses close to the Sydney CBD, Sydney Airport and the Port Botany trade corridor are in short supply.

Accordingly, this project will provide efficient access and distribution of goods and services from the port to the broader metropolitan Sydney region.

The site is bound to the north and east by data centres and commercial and industrial buildings to the south and west.

To be constructed in three phases over about 14 months, the primary tenant will be Schindler Lifts Australia.
