The highly anticipated Bingara Gorge Golf Club is a step closer with lodgment of a DA by Metro Property Group to build a contemporary leisure and entertainment facility.

Prominent hotelier Feros Group will run the Country Club, nestled on a 7280 square metre parcel adjacent to Bingara Gorge’s golf course and located within the thriving master planned community in Wilton in Sydney’s southwest. Feros Group operate a number of venues, including The Prince in Kirrawee, the Taren Point Hotel, Highfield Caringbah, Huxley’s Caringbah and Berry Hotel.

Designed by an award-winning Sydney-based design practice – H&E Architects – the modern pavilion style venue is expected to accommodate between 800 – 1000 people comprising a family bistro and bar, large outdoor kids play area, beer gardens, sports bar and multiple function spaces. The ground floor of the building will total 2,473 square metres and outdoor floor area of 2,657 square metres.

The venue’s north easterly location overlooks the eighteenth fairway with Bingara Gorge’s bushland backdrop. All pavilions have been designed to allow for maximum engagement with the northern aspect, enabling visitors to escape into the idyllic green environment.

The proposal is classified as integrated development, given the site is within a mine subsidence district and therefore approval is required under the Mine Subsidence Compensation Act.

Bingara Gorge is a 450-hectare site that will comprise 1800 new homes when complete. Over 900 homes have already been completed with more than 2000 residents now living in the community. Over 200 hectares of open spaces, a golf course, playgrounds, tennis courts, walk and cycle paths, leisure centre, retail shops, childcare and primary school will feature in the development.
