After acquiring a circa 25-hectare site from fund manager Roberts Jones for over $140 million, DHL is proposing a revolutionary logistics facility on the doorstep of Western Sydney Airport.

In particular, DHL is preparing two concurrent DAs which will seek consent to build and operate 4 x warehouse and logistics facilities. One DA will include 2 x warehouses with almost 32,000 sqm of gross floor area on the northern part of the site. The other DA will also include 2 x warehouses ranging from circa 25,000 sqm and 29,000 sqm on the southern part of the site.

DHL’s site forms part of a 344-hectare tract Robert Jones acquired for circa $500 million a few years back from the Medich family. Despite a lack of clarity over the broader impacts of the mooted M12 Motorway, which will likely split the site, the fund manager is pressing ahead with plans to develop the master planned industrial estate.

DHL’s facility is expected to employ about 1,200 people on completion in 2026.
