AWestern Parkland City Authority received approval last year to construct and operate an advanced manufacturing and research facility at 215 Badgerys Creek Road in Bringelly.

Sitting on over 3.6 hectares, the development will be the first built structure in the newly established Bradfield City Centre in the Western Sydney Aerotropolis.

The first building will comprise a combined gross floor area of 2840sqm for manufacturing and office space with an RL of 95.7 metres.

Part of the vision for the Aerotropolis is to create a hub for various industries, including advanced manufacturing, such as robotics, nanotechnology or 3D printing.

Japanese Hitachi and CSIRO have signed up as anchor tenants in the first building.

While the vision for Bradfield City Centre is ambitious, there are plenty who doubt Bradfield will live up to the hype.

Plenty of people also think it will suck the life out of Liverpool and Penrith city centres.
