Powerhouse ALAND is pushing ahead with its transformative $400 million Campbelltown project after the local planning panel recently signed off on the proposal.
The project will create a destination precinct for residents and the broader community to enjoy, with more than 35% of the 20,465 square metre site dedicated to public and private open spaces.
Located on Queen Street – the main thoroughfare into Campbelltown’s CBD – the site has been the subject of a fairly recent planning proposal, which saw the height and density controls amended to facilitate the urban renewal of a substantially derelict site in line with local strategic planning framework.
Specifically, the new density controls include:

After the panel’s approval, the sale outlet site will undergo major refurbishment, as well as see the construction of 558 apartments across 5 x towers on top of new ground floor retail tenancies. The total gross floor area is estimated to exceed 62,000 square metres.
The development’s design includes 2 x key building footprints located on either side of a new main street through the site. The main street supports vehicular access and pedestrian activity with activated frontages from ground floor non-residential uses.
ALAND will include a 2.5 metre wide cycle path along the entire Queen Street frontage, better connection points for future site access to neighbouring properties and changes to the façade to brighten the overall aesthetic.
